Privacy Policy

Draft — pending legal review.

What we collect

If you join our email list, we store the email address you give us, anything you tell us on the preferences page (such as your ZIP code and which categories interest you), and the date, time, and IP address of the moment you agreed to receive email. We keep that consent record so we can prove you asked to hear from us.

Whether or not you join, we record how the site is used: pages viewed, searches typed, category filters chosen, and offers clicked. This is tied to a random identifier stored in a cookie on your device, not to your name. If you later join the list, we connect that identifier to your email address so we can send you offers that match what you actually looked at.

Cookies we set

  • gyd_vid — a random identifier for your browser, kept for two years.
  • gyd_sid and gyd_seen — group your activity into a single visit, expiring after 30 minutes of inactivity.

These are first-party cookies. Clearing your browser’s cookies removes them and you become a new, unrecognised visitor.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. When you click an offer, you leave this site and the affiliate network and the company you are going to will record that visit under their own privacy policies.

We also run advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We tell Meta when someone joins our email list so its advertising works, but we deliberately do not tell Meta which categories or offers you looked at. Information about interest in hearing, medical alert, prescription, or care products stays with us and is never sent to an advertising platform.

Email, and how to stop it

We only email people who asked us to and then confirmed by clicking a link. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom that works immediately, and our postal address. You never need to reply or explain.

Getting your data, or deleting it

Email privacy@goldenyeardeals.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted, and we will action it. Depending on where you live you may have a legal right to this; we would rather just honour the request either way.

Children

This site is meant for adults and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
